Current Appeal

Our Appeal Target is now a further £90,000

NHS Nottinghamshire County have identified two pieces of equipment that they would like us to fund, that together come to £45,000.

These are a High Density Stack - Camera for a Laparoscope (£20k) and a Continuous Veno-Venous Haemofiltration machine to be used on the renal ward as well as intensive care (£25k).

As usual, by doubling the required amount, we are able to donate an equivalent amount to Kidney Research UK to help fund research to save lives.

The Executive Mayor of Mansfield, Tony Egginton, has kindly agreed to be the Patron of the current Appeal.

Since starting in May, we have already made real progress towards this target, and todate the sum raised is:-

£60,436

only £29,564 to go......

Collecting Tubes

On-Going

Gill brought to one of the meetings an idea she had used with her local WI  to collect money for a large NHS project that involved using plastic tubes that would hold 20p pieces, making about £13 per tube when full.

They are so easy for anyone,(including children),  to place unwanted change in them, and they can be used over and over again.  Experian generously provided us with financial backing to start things rolling, and 5000 tubes were manufactured, each carrying the branding for Experian and (then) National Kidney Research Fund

This simple idea has brought in  £16,450 * since 2003 and is still going strong.
