Local hospitals provide us with a list of items that they would like, or need, and the total cost of this is then doubled to form our fundraising target.

By dividing this sum equally, we are then able to provide the items required and give an equivalent sum to Kidney Research UK to fund ongoing research.

Beginning in 2002, our Phase 1 Target was £66,000.                                           This was to supply a Mobile Dialysis Vehicle and comprised the purchase and modification of equipment including a Braun Haemodialysis Machine, and the 4-year lease of a van.

Helped by an unexpected windfall donation, the target was reached quite quickly.

Phase 2 set a target of £97,500 and was launched in March 2004.                               The requirements included a transonic ultrasound device, a plasma exchange unit and a haemodiafiltration machine.

After a lot of effort. this was finally achieved in May 2008 when a final cheque for over £22,000 was presented to Doctors Mark Devonald and Catherine Byrne from Notts City Hospital at our Golf Day..........

(see Past Events link for more details of how this was achieved)

Phase 3 is now in progress with a target sum of £90,000
